Advertising and Corporate Opportunities
NSA provides a variety of advertising and corporate opportunities. Many of the options are outlined in the media pack, available to view down the right hand side of this page.
Packages containing multiple options can be discussed by contacting Helen Roberts, NSA Corporate Sales Manager, on 07976 803066 or helen@nationalsheep.org.uk.
NSA Sheep Farmer magazine
NSA Sheep Farmer magazine is a key communication channel for the sheep sector, combining best practice advice, seasonal updates, farm features and news from NSA. Published six times a year, it reaches all NSA members, affiliated breed societies and supporters, with additional distribution at shows, events and through targeted mailings.
Content includes NSA updates, event and ram sale coverage, farm features, industry contributions, seasonal health, breeding and nutrition advice, market analysis, business guidance, farm security and safety, and a dedicated young farmers section.
Advertising, advertorial and editorial opportunities are available, offering businesses a direct route to a targeted and engaged sheep farming audience. Commercial companies can also target specific UK regions or postcodes through targeted inserts.
Editorial proposals should be submitted at least six weeks before publication. Download the media pack or contact Helen Roberts.
Corporate Support & NSA Weekly Email Update
NSA Corporate Support packages offer companies a range of opportunities, including advertising in the NSA Weekly Email Update, sent to more than 4,000 recipients every Friday. Advertising space is limited to maintain targeted exposure, with performance statistics monitored and shared with advertisers.
Corporate Supporters are formally recognised on the NSA website, with links to their websites, and annually in Sheep Farmer magazine. Nominated company staff also receive the magazine six times a year and the Weekly Email Update every Friday, keeping them informed on key political and technical developments across the sheep sector. To find out more about Corporate Support packages, please contact Helen Roberts.
Online advertising
NSA offers very specific opportunities linked to areas of activity – such as sponsorship of the NSA Lambing List or sponsorship of webinars and online events. Speak to Helen Roberts to explore opportunities in these areas.
NSA Sheep events
NSA hosts a biennial programme of events, including the flagship NSA Sheep Event and regional sheep events across the UK. Together, these events reach a broad audience of active sheep farmers, from smallholders to large commercial businesses.
Companies can engage directly with this targeted audience through exhibition stands and sponsorship packages. Opportunities vary by event and package, with higher-tier sponsorship including social media promotion, on-the-day workshops and other exposure.
Advertising opportunities are also available in NSA Event Guides, either as standalone advertising or as part of sponsorship packages. Find out more from Helen Roberts or on the events section of the website.
NSA regions & ram sales
NSA is made up of nine regions, all of which have their own administrator and committee. As well as organising the NSA regional sheep events, they have farm walks, members’ meetings and, in some areas, annual ram sales. The regions and ram sales welcome the opportunity to have other companies join them to spread best practise messages. Contact Helen Roberts or click here for details of individual regions.
Prize draw opportunities
NSA welcomes prize donations from commercial companies to support campaigns, with sponsors receiving promotional value in return. Opportunities can include social media and online promotion, direct emails, press releases, Sheep Farmer coverage and promotion across NSA events and activities.
Campaigns typically focus on membership recruitment, targeting non-members, or data collection, reaching the wider sheep farming community. More information is available from Helen Roberts.
