Taking place on Tuesday 27th May, the meeting will cover:
- What halal means and why it is an important part of the Muslim communities’ dietary requirements
- Dispelling myths around how the sector operates, giving confidence to farmers wanting to capitalise on the market
- Cutting a lamb to halal specification, demonstrating what the market requires and how the Muslim community is changing to utilise the carcase in different ways
- What resources are available to levy payers and how we are supporting the industry
