Statement about the sale of Firs Farmhouse at the NSA Sheep Centre, Malvern
15th August 2024
Following lengthy discussions with the Three Counties Agricultural Society (TCAS), NSA sold the society a building at its Sheep Centre in Malvern, Worcestershire, in July this year. NSA bought the site that homes the Sheep Centre from TCAS back in the late 1980s, at which
time TCAS attached various covenants dictating how the site could be used.
The sale of the Firs Farmhouse building back to TCAS included a review and modernisation of those covenants. The result is a slightly smaller NSA Sheep Centre that NSA will invest in with the proceeds of the sale and have future flexibility due to the change to the covenants. An ongoing project is assessing the best way to invest in the site to improve working conditions at NSA Head Office while also increasing income and letting opportunities on the rest of the
site.
NSA Chief Executive Phil Stocker says: “These are exciting times and this work is focussed on optimising the use of NSA assets. A slightly smaller but more fit-for-purpose NSA Sheep Centre will mean we can move forward in a positive way for our staff and members.”
