
NSA on the hunt for additional staff member with technical sheep farming knowledge

NSA is looking to recruit a Technical Communications Officer. This is a full-time, permanent role that would suit someone with strong sheep farming knowledge and good communication skills. They would be a key member of the NSA team, reporting to the NSA Communications Manager but also working closely with other staff members with policy, technical, research and project responsibilities.

Required skills. The following essential skills that all applicants must have
- Knowledge of UK agricultural technical topics, research and development (preferably with a focus on sheep).
- Written communication skills, including the ability to adapt technical messages for practical use on-farm.
- Organisation skills, self-motivation and ability to use own initiative to ensure delivery of multiple workstreams. Good attention to detail, decisiveness and being able to prioritise.
- IT experience, specifically Microsoft programmes and preferably Zoom webinar platform.
Experience of mailing platforms and basic email template formatting is desirable, but training can be provided if no prior experience is held.
Location and hours: Depending on the candidate, the role is either based at NSA Head Office, Malvern, or home-based with a requirement to be at NSA Head Office on a semi-regular basis. This role is designed to be full-time (37.5hrs per week) but could be adapted to 30hrs per week over four or five days.
