NSA further expresses concern to proposed lynx reintroduction
4th September 2025
The Missing Lynx Project, a partnership project investigating the possibility of reintroducing lynx to Britain, has recently reached the next stage of its work, the organisation of a national consultation to gather wider public views on a potential lynx reintroduction into the Kielder Forest area in Northumberland.
In response to this NSA has written to the Secretary of State, Steve Reed, expressing concerns about the consultation process undertaken so far and also the idea of a reintroduction generally. NSA will continue to engage with the Missing Lynx Project on behalf of members.
