
Countdown begins: Just seven days to go until NSA North Sheep 2025

With only one week to go, excitement is building for NSA North Sheep 2025, the National Sheep Association’s flagship event for the North of England.
Taking place on Wednesday 4th June, this one-day agricultural showcase promises a packed schedule of activities and attractions celebrating the best of the UK sheep farming sector. NSA North Sheep will be held at Greystoke Castle Farm, Greystoke, Penrith by kind permission of John and Liz Peile along with their sons Jack and Tom and daughter Lucy.
NSA North Sheep 2025 is more than just a trade show—it’s an unmissable opportunity for farmers, families, and industry professionals to connect, learn and celebrate the North’s sheep farming industry.
Event highlights will include:
• Animal Health Area – in partnership with AHDB, SCOPS and Moredun. Interactive workshops and demonstrations around flock health and welfare including post mortem demonstrations by Ben Strugnell of Farm Post Mortems Ltd.
• Cookery Theatre – in partnership with AHDB and Dunbia. Enjoy live demonstrations showcasing delicious lamb dishes and regional produce.
• Speed Shear competition – Watch top shearers go head-to-head in a thrilling test of speed and skill.
• Over 200 tradestands – Explore the latest innovations in agricultural technology, services, and supplies.
• Seminars - A varied programme of seminars with speakers from across the industry including the NSA North Sheep Breakfast Club, a session in partnership with GSC Grays – ‘Building resilience post BPS within your farming business’. Also a fascinating look at ‘Understanding Your carbon and biodiversity impact on your farm’ in partnership with Virgin Money and Trinity AgTech.
• Farm tour – Go behind the scenes with guided tours of the host farm, highlighting sustainable practices and livestock management as well as superb views of the Eden Valley and Lake District Hills.
