NSA urges farmers and affected parties to respond to Red Tractor consultation

16th December 2016

NSA has published its response to the Red Tractor Assurance (RTA) Standards Review 2017 consultation in a bid to encourage others to develop their own reply. There are a number of very important changes being suggested to the RTA standards, hence the need for scheme members and other assurance schemes in other UK nations to feed into the consultation.

The NSA response can be downloaded below. Please use it as a guide only and respond with your own personal views; DO NOT directly copy responses, as we understand RTA will not accept replica responses. The questions asked by RTA only make sense if read alongside the standards review, which shows the suggested changes in red text alongside the existing standards - click here to view the RTA document or download it below. The codes referred to in the RTA questions refer to the different section of the standards.

Responses to the consutlation have to be completed online at https://consultation.redtractor.org.uk/rta/beefandlamb/consultation/intro/ before Saturday 31st December 2016.

The NSA response has been put together using comments from NSA regional committees in England, the NSA English Committee and individual members.
