NSA Scotland shares member concerns on lynx reintroduction with Jim Fairlie MSP

26th February 2026

NSA’s efforts to prevent the reintroduction of the European lynx to the Scottish Highlands has continued this week as NSA Scotland has written to Jim Fairlie MSP.

In the letter, available to download from the right of this page, NSA Scottish Region Policy Officer Faye Bryce shares concerns that members have raised after attending several recent lynx information sessions. The letter summarises these points, reflecting farmers’ direct experiences at the events, including inconsistencies in messaging, the practicality of suggested mitigation measures, and uncertainty around long‑term responsibilities.
