The Lambing List worked for me. Three lovely people.

We have been very successful over the last four years using the NSA Lambing List.  

We put together details of the flock, location, farm type and dates that we will be lambing and post it on the list.

We take two or three students for one or two weeks over a four week period and although we don’t pay them we provide food and accommodation.

They help with everything during lambing from mucking out to delivering lambs and looking after the orphaned lambs.  They learn very quickly and soon adapt to life on the farm.

The lambing list is a great service and one I use every year.

We have been very lucky with all the students we have had to help with lambing, all from the list. This year we have 7 different students from different universities, and we look forward to welcoming more over the next few weeks.

Just wanted to let you know that the grazing list has helped me connect with a landowner and we now have sheep and cattle on his 30 acre holding.

As a first generation young farmer, finding grazing land can be challenging, so this has really helped and would not of happened without the NSA.

We have had a lovely lad with us for the 4 weeks of lambing, he has learnt on the job so to speak as he had no previous experience. We have been pleased that we got a placement through your lambing list.

The NSA Lambing List was a great way for me to find lambing work and gain experience at the start of my career. 

I never had any connections to farming before starting my career in agriculture which made trying to get my foot in the door difficult. 

I loved that the Lambing List had a huge choice of farmers that were willing to take on people with no experience and teach them the ropes. 

After my initial work experience on a farm found through NSA, it gave me the skills to be able to go on to work for various farmers up and down the country and many of these lambing jobs lead to further work throughout the year. 

As a first generation farmer, I honestly think lambing is the best and easiest way to get started in farming and with the Lambing List it made it so easy to take that first step into the industry.
