Jack Highsted Bragg, Hampshire Requires: Work Placement or Sandwich Year for Can be between 17th October for 3 weeks or happy to do weekends if close starting October

Experience: Iv done 3 lambing season doing it at college and then an external place each year. ( With flock size ranging between 300-1800.)Through this I helped assists with births, docking and castrating, administering basic medication, tube feeding and mucking out. I also did 5 years at young farmers where I used to train and show sheep and beef calves and various shows thought the year. I have also done milking and a bit of calve rearing at previous work experience.
Previous qualifications: Level 3 extended diploma- DDM and other qualifications available on request.

Isabelle Ainge, Somerset Requires: Full Time Job (Paid) starting 22/09/26
Preferred location: Anywhere within the south west.. Accommodation required if relocation necessary.
Type of work/experience required: I am looking for a part time or full time job that allows me to continue my passion of working with sheep. This involves lambing, caring, checking and maintaining the land they are on in order to make sure they have the best quality of life they could ask for. A part-time or full time job would be suitable.
Experience: I currently live on my family's sheep farm at home that has a hay business on the side. Here we have just over 150 ewes lambing for the 2026 season ahead in the months of late march early April. At home during the lambing season i manage all the data on the Herdwatch app as well as being fully involved in the lambing season. I have some experience with working sheep dogs, moving sheep from locations, weaning and treating sheep. I have completed my ATV safety course and have experience driving quad bikes, as well as a small amount of tractor experience.

Hattie Taylor, Herefordshire Requires: Part Time Job (Paid) starting Anytime
Preferred location: Within approx. 10 miles of Hereford. Accommodation required
Type of work/experience required: Weekend work to gain practical experience alongside my full time role. I am happy to undertake a wide range of farm duties, including livestock, arable, machinery and general farm work. Available Saturdays or Sundays or alternating, with a willingness to complete any required training.
Experience: I currently work in an operations role within manufacturing, with responsibility for machinery, production planning, quality control, maintenance, stock control, health & safety and problem solving. I also hold previous agricultural experience with sheep (including lambing), cattle and arable farming.

Olivia Fox, Cambridgeshire Requires: Full Time Job (Paid) starting 1st September

Type of work/experience required: I would ideally be looking for some work alongside sheep and can work happily with cattle as well.
Experience: I have around two years’ experience working with sheep, including approximately a year and a half on a sheep and beef farm. During this time, I was involved in the day-to-day care and management of the flock, carrying out daily checks, moving and handling sheep, assisting with lambing and completing essential tasks such as worming and routine treatments. I also have experience with tagging, castrating and docking, orphan lamb care and bottle feeding, administering drenches, boluses, pour-ons and other medications, as well as monitoring animal health and dealing with issues such as lameness. I am comfortable working with sheep and understand the importance of good stockmanship, animal welfare and maintaining high standards of care. Although I have only had around two years of lambing experience, I am very willing to learn and develop my skills further. I am a quick learner, reliable and responsible, and I am not afraid to get stuck in or have a go at new tasks.I would welcome the opportunity to learn from more experienced shepherds and build on the practical experience I already have, with the aim of becoming as capable and knowledgeable as possible when working with sheep.
Previous qualifications: BTEC Level 3 National Extended diploma in Agriculture and a level 2 Merit in animal Care. and other qualifications available on request.

Summary - I am hardworking and dedicated to high animal welfare which I have developed from working on farms and through college. I have developed good people skills and teamwork through my time working as a catering assistant. I may not have a lot of experience with machinery but I am a quick learner and will give everything my best effort. Experience - 2 months working on farm in Dereham, Norwich, alongside college a day a week, rearing calves. Have previously worked as a lambing assistant in Lancashire, lambing 600 breeding ewes, Swaledales, North England Mules, Texels which were lambed indoors and outdoors. Jobs included, maintaining hygiene in pens, bedding up, liming and disinfecting pens. Aftercare of lambs, ringing tails and testicles, apply iodine to navels, correct colostrum management and ensuring mother and lamb bonding, tubing weak lambs and giving injections if necessary and identifying illness in ewes and lambs and helping treatment. After lambing helped with summer shepherding, jobs included, helping gather in groups of sheep, helped with shearing rolling fleeces and a small amount of shearing, loading the race for treatments, administering fly treatment and wormer and daily checks on sheep References can be provided on request.
