Well known within the industry as the reigning NSA Next Generation Young Shepherd of the Year Champion, Tom is already recognised for his exceptional shepherding skills. Farming alongside his parents, he helps run 1,800 breeding ewes and 2,500 store lambs. Despite his achievements, Tom remains keen to keep learning and views the ambassador programme as a natural next step in broadening his industry knowledge and connections. Tom hopes the programme will give him a deeper knowledge of the global lamb market and meat industry allowing him to tailor his business to suit future requirements. He says: “The association does a lot for the industry, and this feels like the next step to build my knowledge and meet others with the same interests.”
