The youngest member of the group, Rowan already brings a wealth of experience and enthusiasm. Having recently spent four months in New Zealand working on a tailing gang, he has returned with fresh ideas and a global perspective. His energy, confidence and eagerness to learn stood out during the interview process, and he is keen to use the experience to benefit both his own system and the wider sheep industry. He has spent four years working on a 3500 acre mixed farm and has recently been offered the chance to take on the sheep contract. He says: “I want to bring new perspectives home, expand my system and share knowledge that helps future-proof the sheep sector in Wales and the UK.”
