Splitting her time between the family farm and her role as a farm administrator, Nerys brings both hands-on and technical expertise to the group. She has an active role in the management and husbandry of the families 800 ewe flock and also contract lambs for other local farms. Her work undertaking pre-audits and cross-compliance inspections gives her a strong understanding of regulation and business management. A former chair of her local Young Farmers’ Club, she values leadership, learning and strong industry networks. Nerys says the programme is a brilliant opportunity to network with like-minded people and comments: “I want to gain technical understanding to improve my own business while growing my own personal development and understanding within the industry.”
