Industry Surveys

Because NSA has a considerable database of UK sheep farmers, the organisation is ideally placed to seek the views of grassroots producers via industry surveys. There are various types of surveys available.

Industry survey

Charity surveys

Any charity operating in the agricultural sector and wishing for sheep farmers to respond to a survey can make a request for it to be included in the NSA Weekly Email Update. Contact katie@nationalsheep.org.uk.

Market research by a commercial company

For commercial companies that are Corporate Supporters of NSA (with a Gold or Standard package) and running a survey that is relevant for sheep farmers, contact katie@nationalsheep.org.uk. Commercial companies that are not already Corporate Supporters can apply for a package here.

Student survey

For college/university students completing a survey for their studies, NSA offers a service whereby a technical expert within the organisation will check the survey, assess the questions and make recommendations for improvements if needed. Once approved, the survey is then shared with NSA members. Please email enquiries@nationalsheep.org.uk for more details.

Research project

NSA offers a complete service for a research organisation needing farmers to complete a survey to gather data for a sheep-relevant study. This includes sending direct emails and content in the NSA Weekly Email Update, alongside social media to promote the survey to relevant people. Surveys can be geographically targeted through the NSA database for research focused in a particular location.
