Industry Surveys
Because NSA has a considerable database of UK sheep farmers, the organisation is ideally placed to seek the views of grassroots producers via industry surveys. There are various types of surveys available.
Industry survey
For details of an industry survey that gathers data for the benefit of the sector, for example the Sheep Breed survey that looks at what sheep breeds are kept on UK sheep farms and how trends have changed over time, information is included at no cost in the NSA Weekly Email Update. Charity surveys
Any charity operating in the agricultural sector and wishing for sheep farmers to respond to a survey can make a request for it to be included at no cost in the NSA Weekly Email Update. Contact katie@nationalsheep.org.uk for this to be included.
Market research by a commercial company
For commercial companies that are a corporate supporter of NSA (with a gold or standard package) and running a survey that is relevant for sheep farmers, please make a request for it to be included at no cost in the NSA Weekly Email Update by contacting katie@nationalsheep.org.uk. Commercial companies that are not already corporate supporters can apply for a package here.
Student survey
For college / university students needing to complete a survey for their dissertation or other part of their studies, NSA offers a service whereby a technical expert within the organisation will check the survey questions and make recommendations for improvements if needed and then share the survey via the NSA Weekly Email Update. The cost for this is £50+ VAT. Please email enquiries@nationalsheep.org.uk for more details.
Research project
NSA offers a complete service for a research organisation needing farmers to complete a survey to gather data for a sheep-relevant study. This includes sending direct emails and content in the NSA Weekly Email update, alongside social media to promote the survey to the relevant people. Surveys can be geographically targeted through the NSA database for research focused in a particular location. The cost for this is £900 + VAT.
