NSA South West Region ARMM, quiz and hog roast

On Tuesday night South West Regional members and friends braved the wind and rain to take to take part in their annual regional members meeting and quiz night at the Exe Valley Farm Shop and Café. 

The evening kicked off with the ARMM business meeting where Richard Rossiter gave his final Chairman's report reminding us of the various events that have happened over his tenure as Chairman culminating in our very successful NSA South West Sheep Event last summer. Following this, our new Chairman Jonathan Stephens was elected along with Vice Chairman Chris McWhirter. Olly Matthews stepped down from NSA English Committee and Chris McWhirter has stepped in to replace Olly for the region.

With the business element of the evening over we moved onto the quiz. 110 people in 20 teams came from across the region to take part in a light-hearted quiz expertly organised and delivered by Bryan and Liz Griffiths.  At half time, we were treated to a very tasty hog roast with sides and a pudding kindly provided by the farm shop. A good time was had by all and it was great to see so many familiar faces from our network of members, friends and colleagues. 

The raffle on the night was in aid of the Farm Community Network and Devon Air Ambulance. It reminded us of the value of community and making the most of opportunities to get together, particularly during what feels like a long winter, with the busy period for a lot of us coming up.
