NSA South West Region Ram Sale

The NSA South West Ram Sale at Exeter Livestock Centre on Wednesday 19th August delivered a strong trade, with 102 rams averaging £1050 and an impressive 94% clearance rate.
The Texel section was led by a record-breaking 5000gns for Clayhill Iyogun from Nick & Sarah Pile, East Sussex, while the overall Champion, Hollywell Its Showtime from Henry Summerhayes, Wellington, sold for 3000gns. Crossbred rams also sold strongly, reaching 1700gns.
Other breeds also enjoyed a buoyant trade. Suffolk rams averaged £1170, up £32 on the year, while 45 Charollais shearlings sold to an average of £1190, up £240 on the year, with a 100% clearance.
Overall, the sale was an incredibly successful day, with concentrated demand and strong averages.
