Selected rams in good trade at NSA South East Ram Sale
A good entry of rams forward for the NSA South East Region Ram Sale saw an average of the day of £604.78 with 66% sold.
Suffolk and Charollais found favour on the day with Texel and Beltex rams not attracting the buyers as easily this time. J Tofield, Lenborough, Buckinghamshire, topped the trade at £1250.00 for a Suffolk shearling ram with others selling to £1000.00 and £820.00. Ram lambs sold to £570.00 for Merrick & Julie Pinny, Northampton.
Charollais sold to £960.00 and £850.00 from Chiltern Beltex, Fencott, Oxfordshire, with ram lambs from D.J Morphett, Ashford, Kent, selling to £620.00 and £510.00.
Texels sold to £780.00 from V..J & M.L Roots whilst Lleyn rams from Mark Etherton, Oxford sold to £410.00 and Beltex from Chiltern Beltex sold to £575.
