Date: 4th September 2026
Time: 9am
Location: Thame Farmers Market, OX9 3FP
NSA South East Region Ram Sale was held Friday 4th September at Thame Farmers Market, incorporating the Thame Farmers Market Breeding Ewe Sale.
Quality Continental rams were particularly sought after, with strong competition for the best breeding stock and a number of notable prices achieved.
Leading the Charollais trade were VJ & ML Roots, with shearlings selling to £1,220 and £1,150.
Charollais ram lambs from MJ & JA Pinny sold to £680 and £650, while M/S Root topped the Texel shearling trade at £1,020 and £900.
Other leading prices included £700 for Suffolk shearlings from D. Lindon and £550 for Hampshire Down shearlings from R Osmond & Son.
The strong results underline continued buyer demand for quality breeding stock and continued buyer confidence in well-bred rams ahead of the autumn breeding season.
NSA would like to thank everyone who contributed to the success of the event, including auctioneer Thomas Hiorns.
