NSA South East Region Field Day East Sussex
Date: 24th September 2026
Time: 10.30am
Location: Cobbe Place Farm, Beddingham, Lewes, East Sussex, BN8 6JX
NSA South East Region welcomed sheep farmers to Mapledurham Estate, Berkshire, on Wednesday, and Cobbe Place Farm, East Sussex, on Thursday this week, for its biennial Field Days, centred around the theme ‘Beginning a New Production Cycle’.
The events provided an excellent opportunity for farmers to share experiences, ask questions and explore practical ways of improving flock management. Both days were a great success, with plenty of engagement and discussion throughout, and strong turnouts from sheep farmers keen to learn and share ideas.
The morning sessions included presentations from iLivestock, looking at how data can be used to support decision-making, and independent sheep consultant Dr Nerys Wright, who explored the key factors influencing culling and replacement policy decisions.
Following lunch, attendees split into groups and visited four practical stations, focusing on flock health and biosecurity. Topics included preventative vaccination strategies, iceberg disease monitoring, mineral deficiencies, and parasite control.
NSA South East Region would like to thank all the speakers, sponsors and everyone who attended for helping to make both days such a success, and a special thank you to the host farmers for welcoming everyone to their farms.
