Lambing essentials for the Next Generation

The day was a huge success, seven workshop stations were set up around CAFRE Greennmount, including Bimeda, MSD, CAFRE, Parklands vets, NoBacz, Future Farming consultancy and NSA. 

The attendees were split into four smaller groups and they made their way around the stations - conversation and engagement was brilliant throughout the day, meaning the workshop finished slightly later, after 5pm. 

Feedback from attendees was excellent, sharing that they enjoyed how it was interactive as a workshop, as oppose to presentations, they got more in terms of information as they could ask questions in smaller groups. With the announcement of BTV in Northern Ireland, NSA opened the workshop to include those outside the range of NSA Next Generation's age group, which again increased engagement and prompted more discussions. 

Ellen Moorehead, NSA NI Regional Coordinator, says: "It was a very informative session and we are now hoping we could build something like this into our NSA NI event plans for the future as a recurring event."
