NSA Farm gate to Dinner plate Learning Day

NSA event welcomes school children for day of learning and fun

More than 300 school children from across Merseyside were welcomed by NSA Northern Region to ‘Farm gate to dinner plate’ on Wednesday by kind permission of host farmer Olly Harrison.
 
The event gave the pupils an opportunity to get involved and learn about many aspects of agriculture from livestock including sheep, pigs and poultry to machinery and arable farming.
 
NSA Communications Manager Katie James attended the event and comments: “This event was the first of its kind for NSA and was a fantastic day. The children were so interested in all the workshop stations showing genuine interest in learning more about where their food comes from.”
