NSA Eastern Region Rugby Ram Show and Sale

The annual NSA Eastern Region Rugby Ram Sale was a great success on Friday 29th August, with a clearance rate of more than 80%.
A good show of buyers were in attendance with many repeat customers from previous years knowing they can always find the quality they are after at the sale.
Top price of the day went to Messrs VJ & ML Roots from Southam, Warwickshire, for a fine Charollais cross tup selling at £1344.
Rugby Livestock Market Auctioneer Tim Webster reports: “I would like to thank our esteemed Judge John Geldard (NSA Vice President) for a sterling job on the pre sale show, and also to the team from Westbar Vets who did a tremendous job inspecting the rams.”
In the pre sale show, champion of the day went to Philip Weaver, Newark, Nottinghamshire, for his pen of Texel shearling rams. CD Timm from York took reserve for his pen of Charollais shearling.
