NSA Eastern Region Farm Walk
Date: 3rd October 2024
Time: 2pm to 5pm
Location: Wantisden Hall Farms, Woodbridge, Suffolk, IP12 3PG
NSA Eastern Region invites members and non-members residing in its region to attend their Farm Walk, to be held on Thursday 3 October, kindly hosted by Tim Pratt.
Please be aware that the farm is within a Bluetongue restriction zone and has been affected with Bluetongue this autumn. Bluetongue is not transmitted by people, and we are able to host this event within the zone. However, it is a choice whether you would like to attend. Tim is very open and happy to discuss his experience of bluetongue.
Wantisden Farms comprises approximately 1940 acres, of which 1350 acres is cropped. It is home to a flock of 200 Dorset Horn ewes lambing in September and a supplier for Waitrose.
For further information or to book a place, contact NSA Eastern Regional Manager, Nerys Wright Eastern@nationalsheep.org.uk
Booking is advised, places are limited due to the size of the tractor and trailer. We are hoping to provide a BBQ at the end of the farm walk. We would ask for a £5 cash contribution on the day for any who would like to stay. Please notify us of any allergies or food requirements if you wish to stay and eat with us.
