NSA Eastern Region ARMM
Date: 13th January 2026
Time: 6pm
Location: Heath Court Hotel (Best Western), Moulton Rd, Newmarket, CB8 8DY
The first NSA Annual Regional Members’ Meeting of the year took place on Tuesday evening at the Heathcourt Hotel in Newmarket, bringing members from NSA Eastern Region together to reconnect after the festive break. It was a valuable opportunity to reflect on 2025, acknowledging both successes and challenges, and to look ahead to what 2026 will bring for the region. Plans are already underway for farm walks and a technical event later in the year, details will follow shortly after lambing.
The meeting also marked a moment of appreciation for outgoing trustee Andrew Foulds, whose contribution has been widely recognised beyond the region. NSA Eastern Region now welcomes Richard Savory as our new trustee and look forward to working with him.
Members enjoyed two informative talks during the evening. British Wool provided insights into their work, current wool prices and the global wool market outlook. NSA Policy Manager, Michael Priestley shared an update on policy developments and invited members’ views on the recently launched consultation regarding tailing and castration practices.
Overall, the meeting set a positive tone for the year ahead, combining reflection, planning and discussion on key industry issues. Thank you to all who attended and contributed to a productive start to the year.
