NSA Central Region Post Mortem discussion

On Wednesday evening, NSA members were warmly welcomed by Mole Country Stores (Worksop) and AHDB to a fantastic sheep post mortem discussion, presented by the fascinating Ben Strugnell of Farm Post Mortems Ltd. 
 
Before learning the life stories of three lambs, a hogg and a ewe, presentations were made by Zoetis and Bimeda on the importance of minerals to our livestock and how traditional wormers are becoming less effective as resistance increases. These presentations linked in perfectly to Ben who showed the impact of worms within the deceased animals and discussed in detail how faecal egg counts can play a pivotal role in maintaining healthy stock.
