Attendees approved Jen Craig to continue in her role as Regional Chair, Maimie Paterson as Vice Chair, Mary Dunlop as Regional Treasurer, and Aileen McFadzean and Peter Myles as Regional Trustees.

NSA South West Region came together on Thursday evening for its Annual Members Meeting (ARMM). With outgoing Chairman Howard Tratt unable to attend due to the arrival of his and his wife’s first baby that morning Vice Chairman Olly Matthews delivered the Chairman’s report on Howard’s behalf before himself being elected to take the Chairman role for the next term.

Change can bring opportunity as well as challenge was the message at the National Sheep Association Wales/Cymru ARRM, held at the Royal Welsh Showground. Members were told that the future is bright for those willing to adapt. And the NSA’s mission is to support sheep farmers through rapidly changing times, including climate change and trade deals with Australia and New Zealand.

Alistair Armstrong from Tempo in Co Fermanagh was elected as the new NSA Northern Ireland Chairman at the region’s ARMM last night (Thursday 3rd February). He takes over the role from outgoing chairman Jonny Farmer. Alastair farms on the family farm in Tempo, County Fermanagh, under the Leam Livestock banner.

NSA Northern Region’s ARMM took place last night (Thursday) with several changes to officeholder positions. Viv Lewis from Penrith, Cumbria was elected as regional Chairman, taking on the role from outgoing Chairman Thomas Carrick. Ted Ogden, who has served as regional Treasurer for several years now takes on the Vice Chairman position as well.
