Practical focus at NSA South East Region ‘Ram fit for purpose’ event

Date: 24th August 2016

Location: Wiltshire College, Lackham Park, Lackham, Chippenham, Wiltshire, SN15 2NY

NSA South East Region reports a very successful afternoon for its ‘Rams fit for purpose’ meeting, held in conjunction with AHDB Beef & Lamb. There was an attendance of more than 30 people, who appreciated the information and advice given by Nerys Wright from AHDB and vet Steve Shiles from the local Hale Veterinary Group.

Bob Blanden, NSA South East Regional Manager, reports: “As well as learning how to MOT the rams, other subjects covered were making use of EBVs, vaccinating, feeding and selecting rams suitable for purchase. We are most grateful to Lackham College and Jane Davies for allowing us the use of their facilities.”

This is the third year NSA South East Region has covered this important subject, and there is another similar meeting planned for Monday 12th September on the Buckinghamshire/Bedfordshire border – click here for details.

Nerys Wright and Steve Shiles talk visitors through performing their own ram MOT.
