Success for NSA Scottish Region Roadshow’s

Date: 18th February 2016

Time: 6.30pm

NSA Scottish Region, in conjunction with Caltech Crystalyx, has been touring the length and breadth of Scotland with its roadshow for several weeks now, with the final Roadshow taking place in Castle Douglas towards the end of February 2016.

Visits to all eight of the locations planned have proved highly successful with both farmers and merchants, and having attended a number of the events George Milne (pictured), NSA Scottish Region Development Officer, says: “Having had the opportunity to speak to more than 300 sheep farmers across the seven venues so far, it has given the region a fantastic opportunity to explain what NSA does for its members and for the sheep industry. Our presentations have covered a wide variety of topics. We’ve also taken the opportunity to highlight the success of our lamb tasting activities last year, as well as discuss plans for this area of work in 2016. The NSA Next Generation Ambassador initiative also went down well with the audience and, for the third year in a row, NSA Scottish Region is delighted to have two successful applicants from this region. The real benefit I’ve gained from travelling around the different areas is that it gives us valuable feedback from farmers on their main concerns which can vary from each meeting.”
