NSA South West Region farm walk

Members from across the region and beyond were treated to a farm walk laid on by M and J Mouland and Sons at Cricket St Thomas in Dorset on a beautiful autumn Sunday afternoon.

Richard and family provided an informative tour of their impressive sheep and cattle enterprises showing us around their rented tenancy on the Cricket St Thomas estate.

It was really interesting to hear how this family run business combine the various strengths and interests of the individuals to their mutual benefit. It was also interesting to see how they are always striving for improvements whether that is through marketing some of their stock through a low overhead farm gate meat box scheme or by identifying efficiencies in their lambing operations.
