NSA Northern Region farm walk

Members in NSA Northern Region are invited to join a farm walk at the end of the month to view the varied enterprise of W & W Patterson at Coupland Beck Farm, Appleby in Westmorland, Cumbria, CA16 6LN.
The farm walk will take place on Wednesday 31st August starting at 6:30pm, refreshments will be provided.
Son Will is the sixth generation to farm at Coupland in partnership with his father William and wife Claire. The farm runs 600 Aberfield cross Cheviot ewes and Aberfield cross Texel’s. Ewes are put to either a Texel for finished lambs or Leicester cross Texels to produce their own replacement ewes. The farm also has 100 Limousin cross Shorthorn cattle as well as 32,000 free range laying hens.
