NSA South East Region AGM 2014 and farm walk

Date: 3rd December 2014

The NSA South East Region AGM was held at FAI Farms near Oxford on 3 December.

Prior to the AGM there was a farm walk focussing on the research being carried out on-site. This included pigs being fed silage, ducks on a former slurry lagoon, pictured, which is now stocked with carp (which feed on the duck excrement), and a discussion on short scrotum castration.

The AGM saw Martyn Fletcher elected to replace David Prosser as one of the regional representatives on the NSA English Committee. David was thanked for all the time he has given to the region over the years on the NSA Council and then the English Committee, Finance and General Purposes Committee and the Executive Committee when David was Regional Chairman. David has been, and still is a very staunch supporter of the region, and the NSA in general.

After the AGM Gareth Jones of the British Wool Marketing Board gave an interesting presentation along with Phil Stocker, NSA Chief Executive, who reported on his recent visit to China.
