Farm Walks looking at Feeding and Management of pregnant ewes

Three farm walks in January will highlight results from recent research into concentrate feeding regimes in the last two months of pregnancy to complement a range of forage types and quality. Mineral, energy and protein supplementation will also be addressed, to help ewes lamb down in good form, producing lambs with plenty of vigour. And AFBI staff will be on hand to discuss the control of liver fluke and stomach and intestinal worms, taking on-board recent monitoring results from farms across Northern Ireland.
Tuesday 15th January, 2pm at Ian Buchanan’s farm, Dungiven.
Wednesday 16th January, 2pm at Francis and John McHenry’s farm, Moss-side.
Thursday 17th January, 2pm at Alan Montgomery’s farm.
