This year’s theme for the Field Days is: “Beginning a New Production Cycle”.
Following an introduction from the host farmer there will be two presentations in the morning session.
The first, from iLivestock, will address the statement “Knowledge is Power… using data to drive decisions”.
Independent sheep consultant Dr Nerys Wright will then look into the drivers behind culling and replacement policy decisions.
After lunch attendees will be divided into breakout groups. Each will visit four stations offering the opportunity to discuss and debate some of the tools and techniques available to monitor flock health and biosecurity.
The areas covered will include:
- Preventative vaccination strategies and priorities
