Could you be the Shepherd of the Future?
NSA Northern Region and Great Yorkshire Show are challenging young shepherds aged 15–18 to put their skills, knowledge and stockmanship to the test in the Shepherd of the Future competition.
This is your chance to showcase your talent, gain valuable experience and compete against the best young shepherds in the region.
Have your chance to win £150 and the NSA Northern Region Perpetual Trophy, with additional prize money across individual sections.
This is a three-stage competition:
• Questionnaire
• YFC Style Prime Stock Judging
• Sheep Handling
The following prize money will be paid out on the day:
Individual Section Prizes:
1st - £30
2nd - £20
3rd - £15
4th - £10
Championship Prizes:
Champion - £150
Reserve Champion - £100
The Champion will be awarded the NSA Northern Region Perpetual Trophy – offered and administered by Chris Adamson, NSA Northern Region Manager.
