NSA Marches Region Next Generation Shepherd competition

The date and venue of this summer’s NSA Marches Region Next Generation Shepherd competition has been announced. The competition and training day will take place at Middle Farm, Grafton, Tewkesbury, Gloucestershire on Sunday 29th June, by kind permission of NSA Next Generation Ambassador, George Ellis.

Top two winners to go to 2026 national finals at The NSA Sheep Event, at Three Counties Showground, Worcestershire.
Competitors will be asked to complete a series of common shepherding tasks from lamb selection to ATV handling. Competitors holding a British Wool Blue Seal certificate will also compete in the shearing element of the contest.
Following the competition a farm tour of the host farm will take place allowing visitors and competitors to learn and enjoy viewing the enterprise including 400 Romney ewes and 60 dairy beef finishing cattle.
