With hotter and drier summers becoming an increasing challenge for livestock farmers, what steps can be taken now to build greater resilience into grazing systems and livestock enterprises?
Join NSA Marches Region for an informative evening from 5pm on Wednesday 7th October at Middle Farm, kindly hosted by NSA Next Generation Ambassador George Ellis. George will lead a tour of the farm and share the practical steps he is taking to make his beef and sheep enterprise more resilient to future challenging weather conditions.
Managing 400 Romney ewes alongside 60 dairy beef finishing cattle, George will discuss his approach to selecting genetics and managing grazing, and how these decisions can help improve the sustainability and resilience of the farm.
