Great Yorkshire Show and NSA Northern Region Shepherd of the Future competition

NSA Northern Region is excited to announce the launch of a brand-new competition at the Great Yorkshire Show this year!
Following discussions within the regional committee about reinvesting in the next generation of NSA Northern Region, we are pleased to introduce the ‘Great Yorkshire Show and NSA Northern Region Shepherd of the Future’ competition.
This competition is for shepherds between 5 and 18 years of age, the competition will consist of three stages: a questionnaire, prime stock judging, and handling, that will take place during the show.
The competition is kindly sponsored by the National Sheep Association, Northern Region.
The following prize money will be paid out on the day:
- Individual section prizes: 1st - £30, 2nd - £20, 3rd - £15, 4th - £10
- Championship prizes: Champion - £150, Reserve Champion - £100
The Champion will be awarded the NSA Northern Region Perpetual Trophy, offered and administered by Chris Adamson of NSA Northern Region.
