NSA Central Region Annual Members Meeting

On Tuesday evening NSA Central Region held its Annual Members Meeting at Tissington, Derbyshire. Formal business resulted in Richard Wheeldon and Anne Payne continuing as Regional Chairman and Manager. Sarah Helliwell stood down as Vice Chairman and is replaced by David Howlett, while Janet Bailey was elected as Treasurer and Chris Lewis nominated as Regional Trustee.

Formal business was followed by presentations from Steve Dunkley of AHDB Beef & Lamb, who gave an update on its recent marketing campaigns, followed by a butchery demonstration from Martin Eccles, AHDB Development Butcher. Following this, attendees enjoyed a very satisfying supper of lamb, hogget, and mutton. Phil Stocker, NSA Chief Executive reports: “What a great evening! Once the business of establishing regional officers was complete, Steve’s marketing update gave a great insight in their activity, and the butchery demonstration of non-traditional cuts of lamb was excellent. Everyone then had chance to enjoy a good supper courtesy of Alistair Sneddon and the team at Bagshaws. A big thanks to the organisers and participants of this event.”
