NSA South East Region Next Generation Shepherds Competition will be held at the Southern Shears UK shearing competition on Sunday 12th May at Copford Farm, Dern Lane, Waldron, East Sussex. TN21 0PN.

This free to enter competition gives keen young shepherds from Berkshire, Buckinghamshire, Oxfordshire, Hampshire, Kent, Surrey, Sussex and the Isle of Wight a chance to compete for cash prizes with the two highest scoring entrants going forward to the National Final at the Sheep Event at Malvern on 30th July.

Whilst the competition aims to test the Young Shepherds practical and theoretical knowledge, we also want it to be seen as a worthwhile learning experience.

  • Lamb Selection
  • Electric Fencing
  • Sheep Shearing (competitors must have a British Wool blue seal to take part in this element)
