NSA Scottish Region Policy Officer
NSA Scottish Region is seeking a passionate and dedicated individual to join the team as a Policy Officer. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real impact on the Scottish agricultural landscape and provide a voice for Scottish sheep farmers.
The successful application will be given a permanent, home-based contract on 3.5 days a week with regular travel within Scotland and occasional travel further afield. The position is available due to an existing member of staff moving to a new role outside of NSA.
NSA Scottish Region is looking for someone to take on vital policy work, representing NSA at stakeholder meetings, driving policy discussions, and ensuring the views of members are heard at the highest level. In this exciting role you will:
- Lead the regional committee, fostering engaging discussions and developing key policy positions.
- Represent NSA at crucial stakeholder meetings, advocating for the needs of Scottish sheep farmers.
- Be involved in a range of policy areas, from environmental regulations and trade agreements, to rural development and animal welfare.
- Communicate policy positions effective within the NSA network and beyond.

- Has a strong interest in and knowledge of agricultural policy in Scotland.
- Possesses excellent oral and written communications skills.
